HOSPITALITY Freelance
August 2024 - Present
In 2024, I was introduced to the hospitality space as an FF&E Designer at Lark Design Studios. Working with a team of interior designers and architects, we have been curating design plans for a new luxury hotel, including all public spaces (reception, lounges, dining areas) and guestrooms, due to open in 2028. As there are over fifty variations of the guest rooms and a variety of public areas, this project is a dream as a furniture designer. My role on the team is to assist on interior design concepts and execution, along with managing FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, ensuring that the pieces chosen align with the overall concept direction. In addition, I am responsible for millwork drawings of built-in and custom pieces, including reception desks, banquettes, and towel stations, complying to ADA standards. I put my sketching and rendering skills to use when presenting new ideas or spaces to the client, such as a statement lighting fixtures, small vignettes to show various furniture groups, and exploring CMF.
